Medium sized established business will often have special projects that they are developing to become “new revenue streams” for the future. However, this often means that the finance director is torn between the day to day business of running the main business vs the time he/she needs to focus on the new venture. An extra pair of experienced hands with a particular skill of working in the more entrepreneurial area is sometimes very useful.
